The Mickey Mouse clone named Farfur who’s been preaching hatred and
Islamic domination to Palestinian kids was back on the air today, despite public
statements by Palestinian Authority Minister of Information Mustafa Barghouti
that the show would be taken off the Hamas TV network until it could be
reviewed.
Farfur, star of the Al Aqsa TV children’s show Tomorrow’s Pioneers, was joined
on today’s broadcast by his regular co-host, a little girl named Saraa. Today’s
program also featured an adult, Hazim, who delivered most of the show’s
messages about Islamic supremacy.
Hazim told the child viewers that Islam will spread all over the world, including
Spain, and that the spread of Islam is for the world’s benefit. He said the
‘massacres’ in Iraq Lebanon and Palestine will be replaced by ‘love and justice’
under Islamic rule.
PMW reported Sunday that the squeaky-voiced, comical mouse character was
teaching Islamic supremacy, violence and hatred. The ensuing worldwide
outrage over the use of this character, dubbed ‘Terror Mouse’ by the New York
Daily News and described by Walt Disney’s daughter as ‘pure evil’, prompted
the PA to announce that it was suspending the program until further review.
It appears from today’s broadcast that the Hamas or PA officials who oversaw
todays show were concerned only with neutralizing the dialogue spoken by
the Mickey Mouse character, Farfur, and not with moderating the show’s
content. It is as if they decided that the shows messages, which also
promote hatred of Israel and the US, are completely acceptable — as long as the
more inflammatory comments are not coming from the knockoff of Disneys
beloved mouse.
The following is some of the dialogue:
Hazim (Adult): Islam will spread to all parts of the earth from one end to the
other and justice and good and kindness will spread. Did history witness a time
period better than that when Islam ruled?…
Saraa: You beloved kids will be the ones who shall restore the glory and
the culture of the Nation.
Hazim (Adult): Every day do you remember Andalus (Spain)? This dear
Andalus will return one day. Hazim (Adult): Do you remember Baghdad?…
Baghdad which cries out in pain in these times& we shall return & we the
Muslims shall return as we used to be.
Farfur: “1000 blessings of Islam, blessings of the resident of Garden &”
Hazim (Adult): “The honor of Islam will return through knowledge.”
Girl call in: chants song:
“Oh Jerusalem we are coming,
Oh Jerusalem it is the time of death.
Oh Jerusalem we will never surrender to the enemy
And we will never be humiliated.
It is beloved Palestine that taught us what to be.”
Girl call in: “I want to be a preacher to spread Islam in the world.”
Hazim (Adult): “We will spread Islam because people don’t realize it is
the religion of love and good and peace.”
Du’aa calls in: “I am the Palestinian child…”
Hazim (Adult): “There is also the Iraq child if you saw him who is being
murdered and on the news yesterday we saw the fetus who was killed and
what they did in Iraq and Afghanistan and Palestine and a while ago in
Lebanon. The situation is very very bad…. But a day will come and Islam will
rule the world and there will be justice love and peace and all people will love
each other.”
Hazim (Adult): “When Islam will rule love and justice will prevail for
sure.”
Hazim (Adult): Ask history and ask the Jews did they ever live in a time period
better then the one they live under Islam. And ask the Christians how their
security was assured in the churches and monasteries.
Farfur: : “Because the Jews destroyed my home.
When my home was destroyed I couldn’t find my notebook.
Hamas TV Insists on Continuing Inciting Children TV Show
The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), May 14,
2007.
The following are excerpts from a report on the Al-Aqsa TV children’s show
“The Pioneers of Tomorrow,” with the addition of excerpts from the May 11,
2007 show.
Reporter: The Al-Aqsa Satellite TV Channel denounced the vicious campaign
that is being waged against it, and against its children’s show, “The Pioneers of
Tomorrow,” which airs every Friday. emphasized its noble
message, which aims to produce a believing generation that will bear the noble
values and strive to spread goodness and justice in Palestine and the world.
Al-Aqsa TV stressed to its viewers that the airing of the show would
continue, and announced that the show airs at 4 p.m. Occupied Jerusalem
Time every Friday. Al-Aqsa TV talked over the phone with Fathi Hammad,
director of the Al-Aqsa media network.
Al-Aqsa Media Network Director Fathi Hamad: The vicious that is
being waged by the enemies, and especially the Zionist enemy and the
American imperialism, is not new. It comes in the framework of the vicious
campaign against our Palestinian people, as an addition to the siege placed on
our people. Therefore, we are not surprised by this.
They want the Palestinian people to renounce its Islamic religion and
belief. In response, we say that whenever our Palestinian people resorted to its
religion, Allah supported it.
Therefore, we will not renounce our faith and our belief, and we will
move forward for the sake of Allah. We are holding to this religion because it is
the secret of our victory.
They try, as much as they can. Not just by waging their attack on the
religion in this context, in order to prevent the Islamic upbringing of the
Palestinian children, but they also want this people to renounce all its Islamic
foundations. They are the ones who called to remove the jihad verses that
appear in the Palestinian school curricula. Therefore, we cannot accept this.
The following are excerpts from a children’s TV show, which aired on Hamas
Al-Aqsa TV on April 6-13, 2007.
Host Saraa, a young girl: “Sanabel, what will you do for the sake of the
Al-Aqsa Mosque? How will you sacrifice your soul for the sake of Al-Aqsa?
What will you do?”
Sanabel, young girl on phone: “I will shoot.”
Farfour, a Mickey Mouse character in a tuxedo: “Sanabel, what should we do if
we want to liberate…”
Sanable: “We want to fight.”
Farfour: “We got that. What else?”
Saraa: “We want to…”
Sanabel: “We will annihilate the Jews.”
Saraa: “We are defending Al-Aqsa with our souls and our blood, aren’t we,
Sanabel?”
Sanabel: “I will commit martyrdom.”
[…]
Farfour: “We’ve said more than once that becoming masters of the world
requires the following: First, to be happy with our Arabic language, which once
upon a time ruled this world.”
Saraa: “Of course.”
Farfour: “Second… or maybe that’s it?”
Adult host: “Farfour, I heard you speaking in English.”
Farfour: “Yes. How are you, Saraa? I hope to be good time.”
Saraa: “What’s with you, Farfour? Why are talking this way? Didn’t we agree
to speak in literary Arabic?”
Farfour: “But Saraa, this is the language of the advanced world, the language of
the world that understands and invents things, isn’t it?”
Saraa: “No, Farfour, you are wrong, because you don’t know that the Muslims
are the basis of civilization. If not for the Muslims, the world wouldn’t have
gotten to where it is today.”
[…]
Farfour: “My dear youngsters, we’re back. We always miss seeing you on your
weekly program ‘The Pioneers of Tomorrow,’ in which we together are placing
the cornerstone for the ruling of the world by an Islamic leadership.”
