A senior PLO official has publicly denounced Jews as
“sons of pigs,” yet Yasir Arafat and the PLO have not condemned him.
The PLO’s Mufti of Jerusalem, Ikrama Sabri, made the statements
during a sermon delivered to a crowd of worshippers at the Al Aqsa Mosque,
on the Temple Mount, on July 11, 1997, and broadcast on the PLO’s Voice of
Palestine radio station. He said:
Jerusalem is Arab…The homes the Jews are building will become
Arab property, with Allah’s help…Allah shall take revenge on behalf of
his prophet against the colonialist settlers who are sons of monkeys and
pigs…
Morton A. Klein, National President of the Zionist Organization of
America, said: “When one private Israeli citizen, who represents nobody and
has no connection to the government, depicted Mohammed as a pig, the entire
international community was in an uproar. The Prime Minister, President,
and Chief Rabbis of Israel publicly condemned it, and the world media was
full of stories about it. Yet now the Palestinian Authority’s top
religious official has called all Jews ‘sons of pigs,’ and Yasir Arafat,
his aides, and leading Muslim clerics are all silent, and the world media
ignores it.”
The PLO Mufti also said in his speech:
Oh Allah, destroy America, for she is ruled by Zionist Jews…Allah
will paint the White House black!…The Muslims say to Britain, to France,
and to all the infidel nations that Jerusalem is Arab…The only relevant
party is the Islamic nation, which will not allow infidel nations to
interfere.

- “There is no one that can deny the Jews act deviously, as the
Koran itself shows, and no one knows when they will be stopped. We
must rise up against the occupation with all our might to achieve what we

“Jerusalem is under occupation and the Muslims of the world
should liberate it by jihad and put it under Islamic and Arabic authority.”

“We consider ourselves holy warriors for this city, and we will
not abandon it…Muslims, I am sure that Israel will eventually be
destroyed and that the settlements will be your spoils.” (Associated Press,
March 6, 1995)
