Arafat compared Oslo Accords to Muhammad’s temporary agreement

Arafat delivers a speech on official Palestinian Authority television ‎comparing the Oslo Accords to the Hudaybiya Pact, a treaty Muhammad ‎‎(Islam’s prophet) signed with the Quraish tribe with the intention of breaking ‎it later after his army had become stronger and he was able to win a war. This ‎speech exposes the fact that Arafat did not intend to take the Oslo Peace ‎Accords seriously.‎

Yasser Arafat: “When the Prophet made the peace of Hudaybiya, ‎‎ Omar Ibn al Khattab and Ali Ibn Abi Talib said: “How ‎can we accept an agreement like that?” “How can we accept such ‎humiliation of our religion, Oh, Messenger of Allah?” And when we signed ‎the agreement in Oslo, if anyone has an objection to that agreement, I have a ‎hundred.”‎
